EPA
announces release of the
2008 Report on the Environment
May 20, 2008
The EPA, in following it's mission to
protect human health and the environment, follows a
process that ultimately produces the Report on the
Environment which was released today. It details
their work to track trends in the condition of the
nation’s air, water, and land, as well as related trends
in human health and ecological systems. It is an
extremely important document in our industry and may
attract additional attention with recent media exposure
to the growing list of prescription drugs found,
typically at extremely low concentrations, in
drinking water supplies across the country.
"EPA’s 2008 Report on the
Environment provides the American people with an
important resource from which they can better understand
trends in the condition of the air, water, and land and
related trends in human health and ecological condition
in the United States." [EPA
