Perdue Celebrates 40 years of
Production
We were discussing
Perdue's recent 40th birthday party, held at their birth
city of Salisbury, Maryland, and reminiscing about our
intertwined 30 year history with CABE president, Lee
Beetschen this week. Lee, ever the story teller,
shared that our first project for Perdue thirty years
ago was akin to lassoing a rocket. We signed on to do
all the environmental permitting and design and oversee
construction for a new wastewater treatment facility to
serve what was to become the Georgetown, Delaware
chicken roaster plant. The catch was, the wastewater
facility had to be up and running in less than six
months. With a CABE-Perdue team effort, we accomplished
the impossible. The roof on the laboratory building was
still going on as process wastewater started coming into
the facility.
Now, 275 Perdue
projects later, we extend our congratulations to
Chairman Jim Perdue and his associates who are
celebrating the fortieth year of operations of their
first processing plant in Salisbury, Maryland.
