PROJECT ENGINEER AT CABE ASSOCIATES IS AWARDED CSAWWA’S
“2007 HORIZON AWARD”
Carrie DeSimone, EI, Project Engineer at CABE
Associates, a Delaware-based municipal engineering firm,
was recently awarded the “Horizon Award” by the
Chesapeake Section of the American Water Works
Association (CSAWWA) as 2007 to honor “an up and coming
member of CSAWWA who has a bright future in the
organization and the water supply profession”. The award
is given annually to recognize a young professional or
new member of the Section who through individual effort
has surpassed the defined expectations of CSAWWA.
Carrie currently serves as Chair of Section
Communications since 2006, and will continue to do so in
2008. As Section Communications Chair, she strives to
bring the CSAWWA membership the latest news by working
closely with the current Newsletter Editor, the website
Vice-Chair, and the E-Bulletin Vice-Chair.
Carrie is a water and wastewater
design engineer with CABE Associates, Inc. in Dover,
Delaware. Her expertise is in wastewater process design,
particularly nutrient removal. Carrie
is a graduate of University
of Delaware (B.S. 2000), where she majored in Chemistry
with Environmental Concentration, and received a Masters
in Civil Engineering from the University of Delaware (MCE.
2005).
